Bobby Brockman, Taylor County, KY (1956-2018)

Bobby's storied career started while attending the University of Tennessee and working as a manager for Coach Ray Mears. Years later, it would be safe to say that anyone who watched, played, listened to or talked about sports around the state knows the name "Bobby Brockman". He was the sports editor for the Central KY News Journal for over thirty-two years, sports historian for Campbellsville University Athletics and the sports aficionado for both the Big Dawg and WAVE radio stations. His enthusiasm for the game was evident through his personality and work ethic. As if work and raising a family wasn't enough, he also made time to coach some local softball leagues and enjoy some camaraderie during lunch at Jeff's Food Mart. He was the son of the late Albert Brockman & Anna Mary Perkins Brockman. His wife of 33 years, Sonja Noel Brockman, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Casey County, KY.
