Dallas Ray Holt, 71, Montpelier, Adair County, KY (1946-2018) 
He had professed faith in Christ. He was a construction worker, a Veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his county in the United States Army, a member of the local VFW Post 6097, American Legion, DAV, NRA, and was an avid hunter who enjoyed his beagles. He was a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family, the son of the Jess Thomas & Lyda McGaha Holt. His wife, Dorothy Mann Holt, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by the local VFW Post 6097. Visitation after 4:30pmCT, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Jerry Burbridge, Kenny Redmon, Billy Stearns, Matt Keltner, Chad Curry and Tommy Wheeler. He died Sunday, January 7, 2018, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 71 years, six months, and 12 days. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Holt and an infant Sarah Montress Holt; two grandchildren, Justin Garrett Owens & Olivia Grace Owens.
