Dewey Dayne Sturgell, 49, & Kerri Lee Sturgell, 43, Casey Co. KY (d 5 Jan 2018) They were natives of Ohio, and residents of Casey County, KY, at the time of their deaths in Taylor County, KY. They both attended Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church, in the Pellyton Community of Adair County, KY. Dewey was employed by Fuel Total Systems as a Forklift Operator. He strived to make people laugh and loved his children and wife to the fullest. Dewey was a self-taught mechanic. Kerri Sturgell was employed by Total Systems as a Machine Operator. She loved her family exponentially. Their final resting place will be in Adair County, KY, in the Blessed Hope Cemetery. They are survived by their son and daughter, Matthew Dayne Sturgell and Katlynn Dawne Sturgell, among many others left to carry on their legacy. Dewey Dayne Sturgell, 49, Casey County, KY (1968-2018) Born on October 27, 1968, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Dewey was a son of Mollie Nichols Sturgell & the late Purvis Sturgell, Sr. He died Friday, January 5, 2018, in Taylor County, KY at the age of 49 years, two months, and nine days. Dewey was a member of Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church in Ohio and attended Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church in Casey County. He was employed by Fuel Total Systems as a Forklift Operator. He strived to make people laugh and loved his children and wife to the fullest. Dewey was a self-taught mechanic. Kerri Sturgell, 43, Casey County, KY (1974-2018) Born on September 7, 1974, in Youngstown, Ohio, Kerri was a daughter of Gary Helmick & Patricia Owens Dahlke. She died Friday, January 5, 2018, in Taylor County, KY at the age of 43 years, three months, and 28 days. Kerri also attended Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church and was employed by Fuel Total Systems as a Machine Operator. She loved her family exponentially. Mr. and Mrs. Sturgell are both survived by their daughter, Katlynn Dawne Sturgell; and their son, Matthew Dayne Sturgell. In addition to his mother, Dewey is survived by three brothers, Purvis Sturgell, Jr. of Forest, Ohio, Bennie Sturgell of Kenton, Ohio, and Stan Lee Sturgell of Waverly, Ohio. He is predeceased by his father. In addition to her parents, Kerri is survived by two sisters, Nikki (and Chris) Ware of Milan, Ohio and Sheila (and Shawn) McCullough of Vermillion, Ohio.
