He was a retired farmer, worked as Houchens Market Manager for 15 years and also served on the Board of Directors for the Green River Feeder Cattle Association for 18 years. He was the patriarch of a leading Taylor County, KY, family. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, the son of the late Grover Rodgers, Sr. & Clara Shreve Rodgers, and the widower of Wanda Conner Rodgers, his wife of over 40 years. He died Friday, December 29, 2017 in Owensboro, Daviess County, KY, at the age of 85 years, one month, and 25 days. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
