Sue Coe, 78, Jamestown, KY (1939-2017)

She was a native of Wayne County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of her death in Barren County. She was the matriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family, the daughter of the late America Elizabeth (Upchurch) & Shy Ramsey. Her husband, Dale Coe, survives. She leaves 10 direct living descedants, spanning three generations. Her final resting place will be in Jamestown, Russell County, KY

Sue Coe, 78, of Jamestown, KY passed away suddenly on Thursday December 21, 2017, at the T.J. Sampson Hospital, in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral Services for Sue Coe will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY on Saturday December 23, 1pmCT, with Bro Jason Walters officiating. Friends may visit on Saturday after 11amCT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ridgecrest Cemetery, 2405 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Sue Coe, Russell County, KY (1939-2017)


She was born in Wayne Co., KY on May 26, 1939, a daughter of the late America Elizabeth (Upchurch) & Shy Ramsey. She died Thursday, December 21, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 78 years, six months, and 25 days.

She is survived by:
  • Husband: Dale Coe, of Jamestown, KY

  • Son: Buddy (Sharon) Coe, of Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters: Bobbie Jo Bolin and Jennifer Coe, of Jamestown, KY

  • Brother: Michael Ramsey, of Texas

  • Three sisters: Joy Shearer, of Jamestown, KY; Patsy Owens, of Louisville, KY: and Donna (Arlee) Wilson, of Edinburg, IN

  • Four grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren

  • As well as other family and many friends

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Jamestown Christian Church and can be made at the funeral home.
