A funeral service was held to honor the life of Mr. Atwood Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Raymond Atwood officiated. Mr. Atwood was laid to rest in the Jones Chapel Cemetery immediately following the service. Sylvester Hermond Cecil Atwood, Taylor Co., KY (1948-2017) Born on September 7, 1947, he was the son of the late Pryor & Eller (McDonald) Atwood. He died Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 70 years, three months, and two days of age. Mr. Atwood had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a former stave mill worker and enjoyed living a quiet and simple life. He leaves to cherish his memory:
