John Conway Bledsoe, 83, Adair County, KY (1934-2017)

He attended the Glensfork Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of a highly respected family. He was the son of the late Norman & Jewell Antle Bledsoe, and the widower of Dorothy Bledsoe. He was the patriarch of large family. He leaves 29 direct and 14 step- living descendants.

John Conway Bledsoe age 83 years of Glensfork, KY passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at T. J. Samson Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bledsoe had requested his body to be given to the University of Louisville. School of Medicine Louisville, KY.



John Conway Bledsoe, 83, Adair County, KY (1934-2017)

He was born on January 7, 1934 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Norman & Jewell Antle Bledsoe. He died Saturday, December 2, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bledsoe, and two brothers, Leon Bledsoe and Bill Bledsoe

He is survived by:
  • Five children: John David Bledsoe of Russell Springs, KY; Cathy (Larry) Turner of Fairplay, KY; Barbara (Jimmy) Bunch of Columbia, KY; Karen Bledsoe of Columbia, KY; and Tammy (David) Bryant of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers: Grayson (Anna) Bledsoe of Louisville, KY; and Danny (Winifry) of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Jeneatte Kimbler, Columbia, KY; and Shirley Green of Ohio

  • A good friend: Janet Hetzler of Columbia, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • One step-grandchild

  • Sixteen great grandchildren

  • Seven step-granchildren

  • Six step-great great grandchildren

  • Nieces, nephew, a host of other relatives & friends
John attended the Glensfork Church of the Nazarene.
