Ernestine Bault, 85, Adair County, KY (1931-2017)

Mrs. Bault was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and attended Cane Valley Christian Church, she was a nursing assistant for many years at Taylor Regional Hospital, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and Westlake Regional Hospital. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of Ben & Rhoda Hardin Grant. Her husband of 69 years, Leonard Bault, survives. She leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Ernestine Bault, 86 of the Cane Valley Community of Adair County, KY passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at 8:17amCT, at her home after several months illness.

Funeral service Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ivan Tucker the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 2472 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Columbia, KY. The family requests visiting after 3:30pmCT, on Tuesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born September 28, 1931 the daughter of the late Ben & Rhoda Hardin Grant of Adair County, KY. She died Monday, November 20, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 86 years, one month, and 23 days.

Mrs. Bault was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and attended Cane Valley Christian Church, she was a nursing assistant for many years at Taylor Regional Hospital, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital and Westlake Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by these siblings, Johnny Grant, Daniel Grant, Tom Grant, Nathan Grant and Ralph Grant, Eva Biggs, Eliza Corbin and Dorothy Grant, She is survived by her husband of 69 years,Leonard Bault of Cane Valley, KY
  • One daughter: Diana Chapman of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sons: Mitchell (Valeria) Bault of Cane Valley, KY; Neal (Jennifer) Bault of Knifley, KY

  • Six grandchildren and one step grandchild: Brad Chapman, Bryan Chapman, Daniel Bault, Bethany Bault, Sarah Bault, Maelynn Bault and Triston Watson

  • Four great grandchildren

  • Her caregivers for the past several months: Mary Rainwater, Jessica Lacey, and Alma Faye Loy

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
