Van Lewis Shaw, 63, Metcalfe County, KY (1954-2017)

He was a retired truck driver. He loved horses and trail riding. He was a member of a respected Metcalfe County, KY, family, the son of the late Raymond & Verbie Smith Shaw. With his passing, three siblings survive of the six children born to Raymond & Verbie Smith Shaw survive. His final resting place will be in the Goodluck community of Metcalfe County, KY.

Van Lewis Shaw age 63 of Edmonton, KY, passed away Thursday, November 16,2017 at Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services for Van Lewis Shaw, will be held 1pmCT, Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in Missionary Mound Cemetery, in the Goodluck Community of Metcalfe County, KY 163 S/Tompkinsville Road,, Edmonton, KY Visitation will be 5:30pm-8pmCT, Saturday, November 18, 2017, and after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Raymond & Verbie Smith Shaw. He was born May 7, 1954. He died November 16, 2017, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 63 years, six months, and 11 days.

Van was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by:
  • Three sisters: Christine {Cecil} Crews, Shirley {Garfield} Reece, and Sheila Upton.

  • Three nephews: Daniel Shaw, Chris Shaw and Jonathan Upton.

  • Five nieces: Gail Shaw, Michelle Gillentine, Nancy Caple, Beth Young and Robin Grissom

  • Several great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Junior and Rondal Shaw. Send condolences to the family of Van Lewis Shaw
