Nellie Elizabeth Keltner, 79, Adair County, KY (1938-2017)

She was the matriarch of a large, highly respected northwest Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late William & Katie Blaydes Finn. She leaves 16 direct living descendants, spanning four generations.

Nellie Elizabeth Keltner, 79, of Columbia, KY, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 12:37pmCT, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY

Graveside service will be Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 1:30pmCT, at Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, in the Portland Community of Adair County, KY, with Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow. At Nellie's request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Grandchildren will serve as Casket Bearers.



Nellie Elizabeth Keltner, 79, Adair County, KY (1938-2017)

She was born July 1, 1938, in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William & Katie Blaydes Finn. She died Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, four months, and 15 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death an infant son, one sister; Lee Jean Antle and two great-granddaughters; Abby and Gabby Burton

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters & sons-in-law: Rhonda & Louis Smith of Columbia, KY; and Melissa & Doyle Stearns of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Martha Ann Finn Mullins of North Carolina

  • The joy of her life, her grandchildren: Karen Darnell (Adam), Daniel Smith (Jeannie), Brandy Smith Loy (Thomas Long), Laura Akers (Jason)

  • Her greatest joy, her great-grandchildren: Anthony, Halle, Joshua and Zach Burton' Evan, Kinley and Carson Darnell; and Isaac Smith and Kylee Akers

  • One great-grandson: Bentley Burton

  • Two nephews

  • One niece and several other relatives and friends
