Mrs. Louise Shuffett Sullivan, 100, Green Co., KY (1916-2017)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Green County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Shuffett and Virginia Wilson Shuffet, and the widow of Omar Sullivan, her husband of over 54 years. She leaves 13 direct living descendants, spanning four generations

Mrs. Louise Shuffett Sullivan, age 100, of Greensburg, KY, passed away on Monday at the Grandview Nursing Facility. Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Louise Shuffett Sullivan will be conducted at 10amCT, Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Greensburg Cemetery, N Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday, until time of the funeral service.



Mrs. Louise Shuffett Sullivan, 100, Green Co., KY (1916-2017)


She was born daughter of the late Eugene Shuffett and Virginia Wilson Shuffett, was born on Wednesday, November 22, 1916 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Monday, November 13, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. She was 100 years, 11 months, and 22 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Omar Sullivan on September 2, 1933 who preceded her in death on January 27, 1998. She is survived by:
  • A son and two daughters: Montie Sullivan, Brenda Tucker, and Beverly Ingram all of Greensburg, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Robby Beard, Cindy Milby, and Don Ingram all of Greensburg, KY; Jason Sullivan of Indiana, and Ashley Sullivan of Louisville, KY

  • Four great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-grandchild

  • A daughter-in-law: Adine Sullivan of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sullivan was also preceded in death by two sons: Bobby Joe Sullivan and Sammy Sullivan.

Memorials are suggested to the Liberty Separate Baptist Church Building Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
