William Sexton, 87, Adair County, KY (1930-2017)

Mr. Sexton was a lineman for electrical utility companies and as a US Army Korean War Veteran. He was a native of Blount County, TN. His burial will be in there at a later date. He was a member of a large, respected family, the son of the late Elam & Rosa Lee Greg Sexton. He leaves 12 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

William Sexton age 87 years of the Toria Road Columbia, KY, a longtime resident of Summerfield, FL, passed away at 5amET, November 13, 2017 at his home

The family has chosen cremation. Burial will be in the Ballards Chapel Cemetery in Louisville, Blount County, TN at a later date.



William Sexton, 87, Adair County, KY (1930-2017)

He was born on January 17, 1930 in Blount County, TN. He was the son of the late Elam & Rosa Lee Greg Sexton. He died Monday, November 13, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 87 years, nine months, and 27 days.

He was preceded in death by several brothers & sisters

Survived by:
  • Two sons: William Sexton Jr. of Lewisburg, TN; and Steve Allen Sexton of Detroit, MI

  • Two Daughters: Mary Ann Sliger of Lewisburg TN; and Dottie Lynn Hunter. Lake County, FL

  • One sister: Pauline Cole of Knoxville, TN

  • Significant Other: Anna Joy Chaffin of Columbus, Ohio

  • Special friends: John & Jean Wise of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host other relatives and friends
Mr. Sexton was a lineman for electrical utility companies and as a US Army Korean War Veteran.
