Bruce Lee Popplewell, Russell County, KY (1931-2017) He was a farmer and the patriarch of a large, respected Russell County, KY family. He was the son of the late Emitt & Maudie Johnson Popplewell. With his passing, five of the 12 children of this union survive. His wife, Janett Popplewell, survives. He leaves 15 direct living descendants. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Thursday. Interment in the Popplewell Cemetery in Russell Springs, KY. Bruce Lee Popplewell, Russell County, KY (1931-2017) He was born December 11, 1931 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Emitt & Maudie Johnson Popplewell. He died Monday, October 30, 2017 at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 19 days. Bruce was a farmer. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Popplewell; four brothers, Ocus, Dewell, Coy, & Kirby Popplewell; and three sisters, Nona Silver, Margie Chumbley, and Audean Fox.
