Thomas "Tom" Frank Anthony Acoya, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, in Liberty. He was 47.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, on Monday, October 30, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Mike Fenwick officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, beside St. Bernard Catholic Church, 5075 KY 551, Liberty, KY. The family will receive friends 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Thomas "Tom" Frank Anthony Acoya, Casey Co., KY (1970-20107)


Born on October 4, 1970, in Norwalk, CA, he was a grandson of Rod & the late Dorothy Goode. He died Friday, October 27, 2017, in Liberty, KY, at the age of 47 years, 23 days.

Tom was a welder. He enjoyed baseball and UK basketball. He was an all-around goofy soul.

In addition to his grandfather, he is survived by:
  • His son: David Acoya of Windsor, KY

  • A sister: Christine Tucker Smith of Russell Springs, KY

  • Aunts: Bernadette Luttrell of Liberty, KY; Mary Stokes of Norwalk, CA; and Kelly Dukepoo of London, KY

  • His cousins: Caleb Wells of Liberty, KY; Dorothy Cooper of Liberty, KY; and David Melton of Watertown, NY

  • And many other family and friends
In addition to his grandmother, Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Ardis Acoya.
