Vivian Hochstrasser, Casey Co., KY (1945-2017)

Vivian was a retired Nurse's Aid and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty, KY. She enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens Center and going to auctions, yard sales, and flea markets. She the daughter of the late Chester & Wanda Ellsworth. She was the widow of Norman Hochstrasser. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Vivian Hochstrasser, 72, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was 72.

Funeral services will be held at 5pmCT/6pmCT, Thursday, October 19, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Pastor Larry Crenshaw officiating. Burial will be held privately in the Hiter Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-5pmCT/4pm-5pmET, on Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Amber Hochstrasser, Gracie Monday, Jason Monday, and Jayden Monday will be honorary pallbearers.

Vivian Hochstrasser, Casey Co., KY (1945-2017)

Born March 4, 1945, in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Chester & Wanda Whitt Ellsworth. She died Monday, October 16, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 72 years, seven months, and 12 days.

Vivian was a retired Nurse's Aid and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty, KY. She enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens Center and going to auctions, yard sales, and flea markets.

Survivors include:
  • Her daughter: Tammy Ann Wright

  • Her son: Chester Hochstrasser

  • Brother: Eddie Ellsworth

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Eight great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ray Hochstrasser; daughter, Wanda Hochstrasser; and three brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations given to the funeral home to help them offset funeral expenses.
