Local author book fair to be held at Adair Public Library

Organizers hope interest of public, and local authors will make this an annual event

In an effort to promote literacy and local Kentucky authors, a book fair is being scheduled at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1pm to3pmCT.

The book fair will be a time to showcase local and regional authors, who will be in attendance to autograph their books and answer questions. It will also be a time to learn more about the local public library and what it offers our community.

"We had originally planned to have it in conjunction with Downtown Days," said Pamela Hoots, one of the organizers. "Due to space constraints and limited availability we decided on this date. We hope that this will become an annual event."

Mike Watson, an Adair County native and local historian, who lives in Harrodsburg, is also working on organizing the book fair, "The Kentucky Book Fair and Southern Kentucky Book Fest always generate a great deal of interest. We hope that this will bring people to our community."

For further information, please contact Mike Watson at Watson.kentucky@gmail.com or Pam Hoots at pjhoots1@earthlink.net.

As authors are confirmed, a listing will be published.
