Mrs. Evelyn Wilson, age 89, of Greensburg, KY, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY.

The funeral services, with Bro. Bill Davenport officiating, for Mrs. Evelyn Wilson will be conducted at 11amCT, Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery, N Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Sunday, September 24, 2017, and after 7amCT, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home.

She was born Thursday, April 5, 1928. She died Friday, September 22, 2017, in Shelbyville, Shelby County, KY, at the age of 89 years, five months, and 17 days.

She is survived by:
  • A daughter: Sheila Wilson of Frankfort, KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Gary & Thurasa Wilson of Louisville, KY

  • Two brothers and one sister: Ray Brown and Garlan Brown of Erlington, KY; and Faye Gary of Isley, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Nancy Brown of Erlington, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Amye & John Melton and Jeff Wilson & his fiance Laurel Jamieson

  • Three great-grandchild: Addison Wilson, Jacob Wilson and Wesley and Stephanie Melton

  • Two family friends: Gene Mills of Frankfort, KY; and Martha Shelton of Greensburg, KY

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
