Bobby Tackett, Sr. was a United States Navy Veteran and a retired truck driver for Giant Foods in Maryland and Sears in Florida. He was the son of the late Clyde James & Artie Johnson Tackett. His wife, Diane Anderson Tackett survives. He leaves three direct and one step living descendants.

Bobby Tackett, Sr., 79, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at TJ Health Columbia.

At Bob's request, cremation has been chosen and no services will be held.

He was born April 12, 1938, in Morehead, Rowan County, KY. He was the son of the late Clyde James & Artie Johnson Tackett. He died Sunday, September 17, 2017, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 79 years, five months, and five days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Tackett, and one sister, Vanetta Tackett.

Bobby Tackett, Sr. was a United States Navy Veteran and a retired truck driver for Giant Foods in Maryland and Sears in Florida.

Survivors Include:
  • His wife: Diane Anderson Tackett of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Bobby Ray Tackett, Jr. of Columbia, KY

  • One step-daughter: Gina (Tom) Hinebaugh of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Rainy & A.J. Jennett

  • One brother: Mike Tackett of Florida

  • Two sisters: Kitty & Carolyn both of Florida

  • Special uncle: Harold Tackett of Morehead, KY
