Jason Aaron Wheeler, 44, Columbia, KY (1972-2017)

He was a member of Kellyville Community Church and a former truck driver. He was a descendant of very large and respected Adair County families. He was the son of Eugene & Sharon Dillingham Wheeler. His wife, Cindy Riter Wheeler, survives. He leaves many family and friends to treasure his legacy.

Jason Aaron Wheeler, 44, of Columbia, KY, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:05pmCT, at his home.

Funeral service, Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 5pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson & Bro. Steve Willis officiating. Visitation will be after 12pmNoonCT, on Thursday. Honorary casket bearers: Derek Riter, Jonathan Henson, Paul Coffey, Chris Rexroat, Walter Grider, Darren Hadley, Jack Glenn, Bryan Ballou and Brad Hatcher.

Jason was born September 24, 1972 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. He was the son of Eugene & Sharon Dillingham Wheeler, Columbia, KY, who survive. He died Sunday, September 17, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 44 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

He was a member of Kellyville Community Church and a former truck driver.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Cindy Riter Wheeler of Columbia, KY

  • His parents: Eugene & Sharon Dillingham Wheeler of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Jared Wheat & Derrick Riter both of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Eric Wheeler of South Carolina

  • Mother-in-law: Danita Riter of Columbia, KY

  • Father-in-law: Dale Riter of South Dakota

  • Special uncle & aunt: Paul & Sherri Coffey of Russell Springs, KY

  • Special nieces: Megan Wheeler Haigood of Germany & Cassandra Wheeler of Columbia, KY

  • Brothers-in-law: Derek Riter of Columbia, KY; and Kenny, Travis & Jeremiah Riter all of South Dakota

  • Sisters-in-law: Nikki Riter & Jerri Henson both of Columbia, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Madison, Kayla, Jailynn, Jordan, Blake, Courtney, Halie, Jaden and James

  • Several other relatives and friends
