Eural G. (Jeff) Jeffries, Campbellsville, KY (1927-2017)

He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY at the time of his death in Clark County, IN. His final resting place will be in Taylor County. He was the son of the late Roy Hobert Jeffries & Flora Mae Davis Jeffries. His wife, Norma Jean Gabehart Jeffries, survives. He professed faith in Christ and attended Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII having served his country honorably in the United States Army during the occupation of Japan. Before his retirement he was a truck driver and mechanic. Jeff could fix anything and got great pleasure from helping family and friends with repairs. His greatest desire was to see all of his family profess faith in Christ so they could have a big reunion in heaven. He leaves 14 direct and two step living descendants.

The funeral service for Eural G. "Jeff" Jeffries will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Dave Walters. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Taylor County, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, September 11, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Eural G. "Jeff" Jeffries of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Roy Hobert Jeffries & Flora Mae Davis Jeffries was born October 14, 1927 in Green County, KY. He died Friday, September 8, 2017 in Jeffersonville, Clark County, IN at the age of 89 yearsm 10 months, and 25 days.

He professed faith in Christ and attended Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of WWII having served his country honorably in the United States Army during the occupation of Japan.

Before his retirement he was a truck driver and mechanic.

Jeff could fix anything and got great pleasure from helping family and friends with repairs. His greatest desire was to see all of his family profess faith in Christ so they could have a big reunion in heaven.

He united in marriage to Norma Jean Gabehart March 7, 1970.

Besides his wife, Norma Jean Jeffries of Campbellsville, he is survived by:
  • Two daughters and one son: Michelle Jeffries of Campbellsville, KY; Karen Vincent of Louisville, KY; and Tommy Jeffries of Plano, TX

  • Two step-children, Karen Mackin and husband Danny and David Scheler of Louisville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Three great-grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Mary "Matt" Bishop, Vera Opal Davenport and James L. Jeffries.
