Benny McGaha, 73, Adair County, KY (1944-2017)

He was retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville with 30 years of Service. He loved working in the yard & garden, enjoyed fishing & riding on the river in his boat. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late Nolan & Emma E. Dile McGaha. His wife Marty McClane McGaha, survives. He leaves seven direct and two step living descendants.

Benny McGaha age 73 years of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 5:35pmCT, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Gene Conover. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after will be after 4pmCT, Thursday, August 3, 2017. Pallbearers Darrell McGaha, Billy Acree, Rickey Bailey, Jeff Hatcher, and Chris & Charles Bailey



Benny McGaha, Adair County, KY (1944-2017)

He was born on April 3, 1944 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Nolan & Emma E. Dile McGaha of Adair County, KY. He died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 73 years, three months, and 29 days.

He is survived by his wife, Marty McClane McGaha of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Barry McGaha of Glensfork, KY; and Jeff McGaha of Columbia, KY

  • Two Step-children: Patty Jackson of Danville, KY; and Arthur (Belinda) Jackson of Danville, KY

  • Three sisters: Gladys (Charles) Bailey of Fairland, IN; Margaret Acree of Louisville, KY; and Shirley Harrison of Shelbyville, IN
  • Sister-in-law: Sue McGaha of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Krystin McGaha & Anessa Cranston

  • Three great granddaughters

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And a host of other relatives & friends
He was retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville with 30 years of Service, he loved working in the yard & garden, enjoyed fishing & riding on the river in his boat.
