Funeral service by Bro. Dale Adkins will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. Entombment will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Jimmy "Beaver" Burress of Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, was the son of the late Leroy Burress and Archie Witham Burress. He was born May 10, 1953, in Taylor County, KY. He died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 64 years, two months, and nine days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Owenton, KY.

Jimmy was a welder at Campbellsville Industries and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He united in marriage to Susan Smith May 29, 2005.

Besides his wife, Susan Burress of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • One son: Scott Burress of Louisville, KY

  • Three step-daughters: Shara Whitley of Campbellsville, KY; Rebecca Lockhart and husband, Dana of Versailles, KY; and Melissa Hunter and husband, Jesse of Taylorsville, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Beatrice Lockhart of Lexington, KY; Micah Hunter, and Asher Hunter and Nate Hunter of Taylorsville, KY

  • One brother: Don Witham and wife, Betty Joyce of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
