Ricky David "Doc" Walker age 62 of Edmonton, KY, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, July 15, 2017, and after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.



Ricky David (Doc) Walker, 62, Metcalfe County, KY (1955-2017)


He was the son of the late Ivan David Walker & Lois Young. He was born February 26, 1955. He died July 13, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 62 years, four months, and 17 days.

He was a disabled musician.

He is survived by:
  • Five children: Rebecca Walker of Glasgow, KY; Julia Bush Finn (David) of Edmonton, KY; Samuel Paul Costello (JoAnna) of Glasgow, KY; Ryan Walker of Murray, KY; and Markeeta Walker of Glasgow, KY

  • Five brothers and sisters: Eddie Walker (Linda) of Randolph, KY; Tammy Walker of Hiseville, KY; Joe Walker of Sulphur Well, KY; Skip Walker of Sulphur Well, KY; Jennifer Wilson (Trevor) of Sulphur Well, KY

  • His step-mother: Minnie Walker of Glasgow, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • A special friend: Jackie Pulliam of Edmonton, KY

  • And several nieces, nephews and cousins
  • Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Terry David Walker; two brothers, Ronnie "Goat Man" Walker, and Russell McCluskey; and grandparents, Samuel Jackson Walker, and Iola Bernice Walker.
