Nola Harper Tosh Wallace, Taylor Co., KY (1932-2017)

She was a native of Butler County, KY, and a resident of Logan County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of the Okolona Separate Baptist Church. During her active career, she was a nurse in the operating room at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was the widow of first Joe Tosh, and later of Rev. Thomas L. Wallace. Her final resting place will be in Taylor County, KY.

Nola Harper Tosh Wallace, 84, of Russellville, KY, formerly of Campbellsville and Louisville, KY, died at 11:15pmCT, Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Russellville, KY.

Funeral service will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Dannie Nelson. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 9am-12pmNoonCT/10am-1pmET, at the funeral home.



Nola Harper Tosh Wallace, formerly of Campbellsville, KY (1932-2017)

Nola Tosh Wallace was the daughter of the late Estill Harper & Rosa Hunt Harper. She was born November 8, 1932 in Butler County, KY. She died Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Russellville, Logan County, KY, at the age of 84 years, seven months, and 28 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Okolona Separate Baptist Church.

She worked as a nurse in the operating room at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She united in marriage to Joe Tosh November 19, 1958. He preceded her in death March 2, 1997. She later united in marriage to Rev. Thomas L. Wallace, July 12, 1997. He preceded her in death June 22, 2014.

She is survived by:
  • Six step-children: Diane Tosh Ferrie and husband, Jim of Campbellsville, Ky; Dwight Tosh of Jacksonville, FL; and Deborah Tosh Dolle, Thomas Lee Wallace, Donna Wallace Beard and Gary Wallace, all of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Evelyn Cox of Altamont, KS

  • Seven nieces and nephews, including her caretakers, Diana Durr and Rena Blackford.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother: Golden Harper, Milburn Harper, Hazel Sumner, Glaydis Harper and Nellie Griffin.
