Raymond Helm, 64, Marion County, KY/Taylor Co., KY native (1953-2017)

He was a lifetime farmer. He enjoyed time with his 15 grandchildren. He was the son of the late John L. "Pete" & Bessie Jane Sallee Helm. His very special friend, Gloria Bartholomew, survives. His final resting place will be in Merrimac Cemetery in his native Taylor Co., KY

Raymond T. "Shorty" Helm, age 64, of Lebanon, KY, died Saturday, July 8, 2017, at his home, after an illness.

The funeral service for Raymond T. "Shorty" Helm will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in Merrimac Cemetery with casket bearers being Kevin Helm, Cody Helm, Mark Orberson, Phillip Orberson, Joe Orberson and Noel Amador. The family requests visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.



Raymond Helm Raymond T. "Shorty" Helm, Marion County/Taylor County native (1953-2017)


Raymond "Shorty" was born in Taylor County, KY, on February 9, 1953. He was the son of the late John L. "Pete" & Bessie Jane Sallee Helm. He died Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Lebanon, Marion County, KY, at the age of 64 years. four months, and 29 days.

He spent his life farming and during his spare time enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother David Helm.

He is survived by:
  • His three daughters and one son: Sandra Amador and her husband Graciano of Bardstown, KY; Karen Burton and her husband Jerry of Springfield, KY; Stacey Fernandez and her husband Paul of Bardstown, KY; and Raymond Helm and companion, Andrea Robinson of Willisburg, KY.

  • Fifteen grandchildren

  • His brother and sister: Leonard Ray Helm of Lebanon, KY; and Ada Mae Gribbins of Elk Horn, KY.

  • A very special friend: Gloria Bartholomew
