William Dale Porter, 60, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8:30pmET, on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



William Dale Porter, Casey County, KY (1956-2017)


Born on May 27, 1956, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Leonard and Nancy Bolin Porter. He died Monday, June 19, 2017, at the age of 60 years, 23 days.

He was a member of Brush Creek Christian Church. He was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed shooting trap, fishing and hunting. He also loved to fly model airplanes.

In addition to his parents, Dale is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Vanoy Porter, and the following:
  • One son: Doug (Tiffany) Porter of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Tracey Porter of Liberty, KY

  • Two uncles: Kenneth and Gerald Porter of Mt. Washington, KY

  • One aunt: Betty Porter of Mt. Washington KY

  • Father-in-law: Ancil Vanoy of Libert, KY

  • Two brothers-in-law: Gerald and Jeff Vanoy of Liberty, KY

  • And numerous cousins
Dale was preceded in death by two uncles, Chester and Lester Porter.
