Doyle Ray Johnson passed away June 7, 2017 at Baptist Health after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. His wife and her niece were by his side.

The funeral service for Doyle Ray Johnson will be at 1pmCT, Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation was 4pm-8pmCT, at the funeral home.



Doyle Ray Johnson, 76, Green County, KY (1941-2017)


He was born in Green County April 5, 1941. He was the son of the late Emmett & Gertie Johnson. He died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the age of 76 years, two months, and two days.

He was retired from G.E. and was a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church. Doyle is survived by his wife of 52 years Wanda Lewis Johnson to whom he was a treasure loved beyond measure, and by the following:
  • His brothers: Eugene, Wayne and Otis Johnson

  • His wife's special niece: Sundown Clark and her family, Larry P. Clark, Colton and Caton Clark

  • And numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Gertie Johnson, his brothers Duel, Leon, Delbert and David Johnson and his sisters Juanita Collard and Leona Gaines.
