Mr. Bobby Willis Grant, 79, Dunnville, KY/Adair Co., KY native (1937-2017)

He was a retired truck driver. He was a born in Glens Fork, KY, and was a resident of Dunnville, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Lillie (Grant) & Willie Grant. His wife, Helen Loy Grant, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.
Bobby Willis Grant, 79, of Dunnville, KY passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Funeral Services for Bobby Willis Grant will be at the Russell Springs First Baptist Church, 392 E KY-80, Russell Springs, KY, on Saturday June 10, 2017, at 11amCT with Bro. Jeff Griffen and Bro. Doug Baldwin officiating. Friends may visit on Friday after 5pmCT at the Russell Springs First Baptist Church and after 8amCT on Saturday. Burial will be in the Dixon Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.



Bobby Willis Grant, 79, Dunnville, KY/Adair Co., KY native (1937-2017)


Bobby was born in Glens Fork, Adair County, KY on October 18, 1937. He was a son of the late Lillie (Grant) and Willie Grant. He died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 79 years, seven months, and 19 days.

He was a retired truck driver and the husband of Helen (Loy) Grant of Dunnville, KY, who survives.

Bobby is also survived by

  • Three daughters: Deborah (Bill) Sharp, Sheila (Russell) Robertson, and Amy (Brian) Shirley, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Forrest (Shirley) Grant, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Corie Helm, Laura Coffey, Elizabeth Loveless, Grant Sharp, Lance Robertson, and Justin Shirley

  • Eight great grandchildren: Nathan, Maddie McQueary; Abby Helm, Caroline, Will and Brooklyn Coffey; Jaydon Netherton, and Braxton Lawless
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Grant, and a sister LouAnna Grant.
