Mavis J. Ross, 84, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Fair Oaks Health Systems, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral Services for Mavis Ross will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Friday June 2, 2017 with Bro. Jessie Jewell officiating. Friends may visit after 11amCT, on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Mavis was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, on January 15, 1933. She was a daughter of the late Morris & Dollie (Bell) Collins. She died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, four months,and 15 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sewellton Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Carol Johnson of Jamestown, KY, and Rose Curtsinger of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Mary Reeder, of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
She iwas preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell Ross, and a sister Martha Johnson.
