Leslie Franklin Walker, 76, of Candler, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Kings Mountain, KY.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.



Leslie Franklin Walker, Candler, NC (1941-2017)


Born on March 17, 1941, in Old Fort, NC, he was a son of the late Herman Cletis & Birdie Huff Walker. He died Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Kings Mountain, KY, at the age of 76 years, two months, and eight days.

Leslie was a retired builder and teacher.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Shoemaker Walker, and the following:
  • A daughter: Jennifer Walker (and David) Rice of Newton, NC

  • A son: David (and Kara) Walker of Candler, NC

  • A brother: Douglas A (and Ruth) Walker of Burleson, TX
