She was the daughter of the late Barton Thrasher & Vela Poindexter Thrasher and the widow of Dr. Joseph Schickel. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and had been the office manager for many years for her husband's medical practice. Her final resting place will be in Burkesville, KY. She died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 91 years, five months, and 19 days. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and had been the office manager for many years for her husband's medical practice. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph H. Schickel; two brothers, James Thrasher, and Stanley Keith Thrasher; two sisters, Imogene Thrasher York, and Brenda Thrasher Cook; and a special aunt, Ruby Hood. Survivors include:
