Ruby Ann Darnell Williams, Taylor Co., KY/Russell Co., KY native (1924-2017)

She professed faith in Christ at age eleven and was a member the longest of anyone at Campbellsville Baptist Church. She had a heart for serving her church and her family. She attended Campbellsville College and Bowling Green Business College and taught in one room schools and at Taylor County High School. She also assisted her husband, the late Clyde Williams, Jr., in his law practice. She leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Ruby Ann Darnell Williams, 92, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6amCT, Monday, May 15, 2017 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. James Jones, Rev. Ken Forman and Rev. Meredith Forssman. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, 200 Block of West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Ruby Ann Darnell Williams, Taylor Co., KY/Russell Co., KY native (1924-2017

Ruby Ann Darnell Williams was the daughter of the late L. E. Darnell and Stella Hayes Darnell. She was born November 26, 1924, in Russell County, KY and later moved to Taylor County at age two. She died Monday, May 15, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 92 years, five months, and 19 days.

She professed faith in Christ at age eleven and was a member the longest of anyone at Campbellsville Baptist Church. She had a heart for serving her church and her family.

She attended Campbellsville College and Bowling Green Business College and taught in one room schools and at Taylor County High School. She also assisted her husband in his law practice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Williams, Jr. after forty-five years of marriage.

Ruby is survived by:
  • One son and two daughters: Tom Williams and wife, Gale of Houston, TX; Janie Forman and husband, Gary of Frankfort, KY; and Sue Shaw and husband, David of Lexington, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Adam Williams, Melissa Forman Ballard, Stan Forman, Patrick Shaw and Meredith Shaw Forssman

  • Five great-grandchildren: Lana Forman, Mason Forman, Eli Ballard, Ruby Ballard and Olive Williams

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Pat Simpson.
