Lana Williams Martin, Taylor Co., KY (1942-2017)

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Golden Williams & Rebecca Shive Williams. Her husband of 54 years, Elwin Martin, Jr., survives.

Funeral service will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Jamie Bennett. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home

Lana Williams Martin was the daughter of the late Golden Williams & Rebecca Shive Williams, was born July 28, 1942 in Taylor County, KY. She died at Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of74 years, seven months, and 25 days. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

Lana loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and treated them as her own.

She united in marriage to Elwin Martin, Jr., on June 30, 1961.

Besides her husband Elwin Martin, Jr. of Campbellsville, she is survived by:
  • One sister and one brother: Patricia Pierce and husband, Bobby and Richard Williams and wife, Linda of Campbellsville

  • One sister-in-law: Sharon Herron of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and many other relatives and friends
Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to The Alzheimers Association or Hosparus of Green River and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
