He was born on January 10, 1937, in Taylor County, KY. He died Monday, March 20, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 80 years, two months, and 10 days. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Alvin was a retired supervisor of Atmos Energy and a farmer and was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM. He united in marriage to Fayola England April 5, 1958.
