Wilbur Clarence (Denver) Wilson, Pulaski Co./Casey native (1936-2017)

He was a self-employed gate shop owner and a very hard worker. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Leonard & Hattie Lynch Wilson and the widower of Judith Foster Wilson. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Wilbur Clarence "Denver" Wilson of Pulaski County, formerly of Casey County, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was 80 years young.

Funeral services for Denver will be 2pmCT/3pmET, Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Brother Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10am-2pmCT/11am-3pmET, Tuesday at the Funeral Home.



Wilbur Clarence (Denver) Wilson, Pulaski Co./Casey native (1936-2017)

Born in Casey County on December 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Leonard & Hattie Lynch Wilson. He died Sunday, March 19, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 80 years, two months, and 24 days.

Denver was a self-employed gate shop owner and a very hard worker. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Brent (Debbie) Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Janet (Joe) Corder of Somerset, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Kristy Wilkerson, Jennifer Scott, Laura Wilson, Mallory Scott, Jay Goode and Jayme Goode

  • One sister: Inez Davis of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Shade Wilson of Liberty, KY
In addition to his parents, Denver was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Foster Wilson, who passed away October 1999; one brother, Harry Wilson; and two sisters, Gay Hironimus and Joy Todd.
