Mrs. Newton professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. She was a former dental assistant and wife of Tommy Jack Newton, who preceded her in death. She leaves three direct living descendants.

Mrs. Norma Faye Newton of Campbellsville was born on August 17, 1950 in Lebanon to the late Clayton and Imogene (Proffitt) Yates. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY, after an extended illness being 66 years, 6 months, and 25 days of age.

There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Newton on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Ray Roberts will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2017 after 9:30amCT/10:30amET until time for the service.

Mrs. Norma Faye Newton of Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, was born on August 17, 1950 in Lebanon, Marion County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Clayton & Imogene (Proffitt) Yates. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Springview Hospital in Lebanon, Marion County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 25 days of age.

Mrs. Newton professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church. She was a former dental assistant and wife of Tommy Jack Newton, who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • One daughter: Michelle Fisher and fiance' Jeff Clark of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Jewell Murray and husband Lindsey of Georgetown, KY; and Sherry Cecil and husband Greg of Franklin, KY

  • One brother: Phillip Yates and wife Chris of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Madison Fisher and Kara Fisher

  • And a host of other family and close friends
