Mr. Junior Elkins age 72 of Greensburg, KY, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at his home.

The funeral services for Mr. Junior Elkins will be conducted at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, March 12, 2017, at the Holly Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the Holly Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT/3pm-9pmET, Saturday, March 11 2017, and 7am-9amCT/8am-10amET, Sunday at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, and after 10amCT/11amET, Sunday at the Holly Grove Baptist Church.

He was born March 29, 1944. He died March 9, 2017, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

He is survived by:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Megan Elkins of Greensburg, KY

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Angie and Troy Houk, and Marla and Troy Durrett all of Greensburg, KY

  • Grandchildren: Tanner Durrett and his wife, Lauren of Greensburg, Hunter Marsh of Louisville, Hannah Houk, Gannen Durrett, Kelby Houk, Hayden Elkins, and Addison Elkins all of Greensburg, KY

  • Great-grandchildren: Evelyn Shea "Evie Durrett, and Indi Ray Durrett both of Greensburg, KY

  • Four sisters and a brother: Freedia Thompson of Summersville, KY; Christine Lamb of Illinois; Genrose Straley of Campbellsville, KY; Judell Vance of Somerset, KY; and Ruel Elkins of Greensburg, KY
