Mary Lou Clark, 89, Green County, KY (1927-2017)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Campbellsville. Mrs. Clark was a former secretary at the United States Pentagon, and retired bookkeeper for the former Woodson Lewis Store. She was the widow of Elmer Earl Clark. She leaves 15 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Mary Lou Clark, 89, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY.

The family chose cremation. A memorial service conducted by the family for Mrs. Mary Lou Clark will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Broadway Church of Christ, 1508 East Broadway, Campbellsville, KY. Edd Sterchi and Steve Clark officiating.

Mrs. Mary Lou Clark of Greensburg, KY, was the daughter of the late Rollin Willoughby and Bulah Lee Daugherty Willoughby. She was born on March 4, 1927 in Fordsville, Ohio County, KY, and departed this life on Monday, January 30, 2017 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 89 years, 10 months, and 26 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ in Campbellsville. Mrs. Clark was a former secretary at the United States Pentagon, and retired bookkeeper for the former Woodson Lewis Store.

She united in marriage to Elmer Earl Clark on March 15, 1945 who preceded her in death on June 30, 2014.

Survivors include:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Susan Ryan and Jack Flippin of Campbellsville. KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Chris and Alice Ann Clark of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren and their spouses: Cole and April Clark, Katie and Tyler Curry all of Greensburg, KY; Robbie and Kortney Ryan of Shelbyville, KY; Erik and Lori Ryan of Greensburg, KY

  • Nine great-grandchildren: David Lee Ryan, Jeremiah Ryan both of Shelbyville, KY; Morgan Ryan, Marlee Ryan, Olivia Clark, Ally Clark, Emery Clark, Parker Curry, and Daphne Curry all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Jackie and Jerry Conway of Florida, and Shirley and Bob Holzaphel of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron and Connie Willoughby of Louisville, KY and Roy and Peggy Willoughby of Florida

  • A brother-in-law: Art Steilberg of Louisville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Robert David Ryan in 1998; three sisters and a brother: Lois Dwyer, Margie Crowder, Patricia Steilberg, and Michael Willoughby.
