Norma Jean Wilson, 84, Russell County, KY (1933-2017)

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy. She was a native of Russell County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Stanton B. & Louvienie McGowan Whittle. and the widow of Carson Wilson. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

Norma Jean Wilson, 84, a resident of Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY, died there Monday, January 30, 2017.

Funeral service for Norma Jean Wilson will be at 10amCT, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Friday, February 3, 2107, and after 8amCT on Saturday. Interment will be in the Whittle Cemetery.

She was born January 17, 1933 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Stanton B. & Louvienie McGowan Whittle. She died Monday, January 30, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell Springs, KY, at the age of 84 years, 13 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Wilson; a son, Arnold Ray Wilson; two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors are as follows:
  • Four children: Carl J. (Leslie) Wilson, Harmony, MD; Sheena (Walter) Grider, Jamestown, KY; Troy (Sheila) Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; and Lyn (Myra) Wilson, Bowling Green, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Grace Eastham, Russell Springs, KY; and Dean Beckner, Russell Springs, KY
