Kevin Elbert Grissom, 56, Green County, KY (1960-2017)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a contractor for Radon & Mold Mitigation. He was a native of Lake County, IL and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Hermon Elbert Grissom & Martha Ann Ferguson Grissom. His wife of three years, Ammie Marie Johnson Grissom, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Mr. Kevin Elbert Grissom of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home in Green County.

There will be visitation for Mr. Kevin E. Grissom from 1pm until 4pmCT, Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with cremation to follow.

Kevin Elbert Grissom, 56, Green County, KY (1960-2017)


Mr. Kevin Elbert Grissom of Greensburg, KY, was the son of the late Hermon Elbert Grissom & Martha Ann Ferguson Grissom. He was born on March 10, 1960 in Waukegan, Lake County, IL and departed this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home in Green County, KY. He was 56 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a contractor for Radon & Mold Mitigation.

He is survived by his wife, Ammie Marie Johnson Grissom of Greensburg having united in marriage on October 15, 2013.

Other survivors include:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Kristy K. and James Kirtley of Tennessee

  • Three grandchildren: Nichole Kirtley, Zach Kirtley, and Anna Kirtley all of Tennessee

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Pat and Albert Parnell of Greensburg, KY; and Bertha and Steve Ketchum of Indiana

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Dempsey and Christy Grissom of Indiana

  • Half-brothers and half-sisters: Charles Grissom, Carolyn Welch, LaWanda Jones, and James Grissom

  • Two uncles: Clarence "Bud" Ferguson of Illinois, and Demsey Ferguson of Indiana

  • His dog: Angel

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Grissom was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Clarence Ferguson and Lavon Ferguson Stillinger; paternal grandparents: Willie Grissom and Bertha Fields Grissom; a brother: Robert Grissom; two nephews: Robert Herschel Grissom and Mike Grissom.
