Homeplace hits $3-of-$5K milestone for matching $5,000 grant! Goal is $5,000 by February 1, 2017, to receive matching $5,000 anonymous donor challenge for a total of $10,000, which is earmarked for the preservation of the early 1800s log pen at Homeplace. $1,000 has been added in the past three days. $2,000 more is urgently needed by February 1, 2017 - Just 19 more days. But that means anyone can be a hero for a day with a $106 donation - and if just 19 people do that, the money is assured. Please help if you can by sending your tax deductable gift to Homeplace on Green River, P. O. Box 4212, Campbellsville, KY 42719. Next earlier story, Homeplace on Green River receives matching grant for $5,000 By George Kolbenschlag Homeplace on Green River What if... people really did believe in the importance of a place where all ages could learn about the history of agriculture in south central Kentucky as well as share in preserving that heritage and help assure a healthy place where we can all enjoy the outdoors? Thankfully enough do care that the funds to preserve the early 1800s log pen at Homeplace on Green River has reached $3,000! But the goal is $5,000 by February 1 in order for an anonymous donor to match that $5,000. The Homeplace Board does appreciate those who have already stepped up, but we still need to find $2,000 more in the next few days. Please help if you can by sending your tax deductable gift to Homeplace on Green River, P. O. Box 4212, Campbellsville, KY 42719. It will help build a cover to protect the early log pen and to safely display early farm implements and tools. -George Kolbenschlag This story was posted on 2017-01-13 16:14:55
