James A. Morrison, 93, Taylor County, KY/Cumberland native (1923-2016) He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army as a Mess Sergeant in the European Theater and will be accorded full military rites at committal services. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church. He was a retired rural letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service and former owner and operator of Discount Used Cars. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late John Morrison and Tiny O. "Dessie" Wright Morrison and the widower of Madeline Burress, his wife of 62 years. He leaves five direct and three step living descendants.
