G.T. Leach, Taylor Co., KY (1935-2016)

He was member of a highly respected Taylor County, KY family. He was a retired employee of McMahan Furniture Company, Campbellsville, KY. He served his country honorable in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was the son of the late G. T. Leach, Sr. and Ina Hurt Leach. His wife of 59 years, Margie McMahan Leach, survives. He leaves two direct living descendants.

G. T. Leach, 81, Campbellsville, KY, died at 3:10pmET, Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. John Butler. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, 200 block W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

G. T. Leach was the son of the late G. T. Leach, Sr. and Ina Hurt Leach. He was born October 17, 1935, in Taylor County, KY. He died Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 81 years, one month, and 24 days.

He professed faith in Christ and attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp.

He was a retired employee of McMahan Furniture Company in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Margie McMahan April 5, 1957.

Besides his wife, Margie Leach of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Michelle Leach of Campbellsville, KY

  • One granddaughter: Brianne Mingey and husband, Seth of Fayetteville, NC

  • One sister: Paula Shively of Campbellsville, KY

  • One niece: Sherry Gabehart of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two great-nephews: Bear Gabehart of Versailles, KY; and Patric Gabehart of Campbellsville, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
