Violet Lynn, 81, Casey County, KY (1935-2016)

She was retired from American Greeting and a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She loved her flower gardens. She was the daughter of the late J.W. and Dollie Smith Richardson. Her husband of 62 years, Robert "Bobby" Lynn, survives. She leaves 25 direct living descendants.

Violet Lynn of Liberty, KY passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 81 years old.

Funeral services are at 12pmNoonCT/1pmCT, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Willow Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Thursday, December 8, 2016, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and 10am-12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Friday at the Willow Springs United Methodist Church.



Pallbearers are Joshua, Nathan, Micah, and Robert Lynn Jr., Shane Salyers, Daniel Baker and Doug Johnson.

Violet Lynn, 81, Casey County, KY (1935-2016)

Born April 1, 1935 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late J.W. and Dollie Smith Richardson. She died Monday, December 5, 2016, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 81 years, eight months, and one day.

She was retired from American Greeting and a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She loved her flower gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bobby" Lynn, whom she married in May 1954, and:
  • Two sons:, Robert (and Bonita) Lynn of Liberty, KY; and JW (and Christina) Lynn of Nicholasville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Sixteen great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Shirley Rousey of Liberty, KY; and Bobbie Gayle (and Lonnie) Combs of Louisville, KY
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, June Richardson, Marcella Michael and Juanita Pace and LaWanda Wilcher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Willow Springs Cemetery Fund in memory of Violet Lynn.
