He was a foreman for R.R. Dawson Bridge Company. He was a native of Russell County and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late John L. & Ila Wade Roark, and the widower of Marjory Joan Roark.

Charles "Pete" Roark, 82, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Hospice Care Center in Lexington. KY.

Funeral service for Charles "Pete" Roark will be 1pmCT, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. David Harmon officiating. Visitation after 11amCT, Wednesday. Interment in the Fairview Cemetery.



Charles (Pete) Roark, 82, Russell Co., KY (1934-2016)


He was born February 14, 1934 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late John L. & Ila Wade Roark. He died Saturday, November 5, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 82 years, eight months, and 22 days.

He was a foreman for R.R. Dawson Bridge Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjory Joan Roark; daughter, Judy Pafford; three sisters, Dalphia Burchett, Laverne Ford, Mary Ford; and brother, John Louie Roark.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two children: Vickie Lynn (Lynn) Tudor, Richmond, KY; and Cerina Jean (Mike) Young, Wilmore, KY

  • Two step children: Teresa Kaye (Gary) Harmon, Russell Springs, KY; and Kimberly Jean (Jerry) Burchett, Russell Springs, KY

  • A host of grandchildren and step grandchildren
