C. V Gorge, 80, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, September 29, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Funeral Services for C. V George will be Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 2pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Visitation was on Saturday, October 1, after 5pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial in the Concord Cemetery in Jamestown, KY with full Military Honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

He was born in Jamestown, Russell Springs, KY on March 25, 1936. He was a son ot the late Lizzie Pearl(Bradshaw) and Willie D.George. He died Thursday, September 29, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 80 years, six months, and four days.

He is survived by:
  • Two sisters: Lela Lawless of Jamestown, KY and Myrna Curtsinger, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Special niece and great niece: Joyce and Jessica Hopper of Russell Springs, KY

  • a host of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Edward George, and a sister Reva Bell.

C.V served in the U. S Navy and was a retired gate factory worker.
