Anna Pearl Abney, 75, Marrowbone, KY (1941-2016)

She was a member of Waterview Church of Christ, and was a former employee at several garment factories. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and was a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Rassie and Myrtie Shaw Norris, and the widow of James Abney. She leaves three direct living descendants.

Anna Pearl Abney age 75 of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital.

Family requests visitation on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 3pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:30amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery.


Anna Pearl Abney, 75, Marrowbone, KY (1941-2016)

Pearl was born on April 16, 1941 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Rassie and Myrtie Shaw Norris. She died Monday, September 19, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 75 years, five months, and three days.

She was a member of Waterview Church of Christ, and was a former employee at several garment factories.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Abney, and three brothers, Willie Amerine Norris, Donald Norris, and Hylen Norris.

Survivors Include:
  • One daughter, Jimmie Dawn Abney and her friend Johnie Stines of Marrowbone, KY
  • Three Sisters: Martha Bryant and Betty Riddle both of Marrowbone, KY and Edith Burton of Louisville, KY
  • Two Grandchildren: Jay Holland(and Katie) and Jacob Wray
  • A host of other relatives and friends
