Carlon K. Sharp, 72, Casey County, KY (1944-2016)

He retired from ATR and was a member of Danville First Church of God. Carlon K. had a great sense of humor and loved his grandchildren. His wife of 48 years, Iva Dean Streeval Sharp, survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Carlon K. Sharp, 72, of Junction City, KY passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. He was 72.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, September 19, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bros. Mike Cox and Kevin Cummins officiating. Mr. Carlon K. Sharp will be laid to rest in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral service.




Carlon K. Sharp, 72, Casey County, KY (1944-2016)

Born Friday, July 9, 1944 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Milford and Beatrice Smithers Sharp. He died Thursay, September 15, 2016, at the age of 72 years, two months, and five days.

He retired from ATR and was a member of Danville First Church of God. Carlon K. had a great sense of humor and loved his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Iva Dean Streeval Sharp, whom he married June 28, 1969, and thefollowing:
  • A son: Troy (and Shannon) Sharp of Liberty, KY

  • Daughter-in-law: Sheila Sharp of Junction City, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Justin Sharp of Junction City, KY; and Alyssa Sharp of Liberty, KY

  • Mother-in law: Lucille Streeval of Liberty, KY

  • And five brothers: Coy Sharp of Bargersville, IN; Gerald Sharp of Clementsville, KY; Marshall (and Bonnie) Sharp of Idaho; Carlos Ray (and Wanda) Sharp of Franklin, IN; and Kenneth (and Joyce) Sharp of Casey County, KY
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jarrod Sharp; and granddaughter, Hannah Sharp.
