Mrs. Emma Eulean Vaughn, 88, Green Co, KY (1928-2016)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church. She was also retired from the State of Kentucky Highway-Rest Area Department.

Mrs. Emma Eulean Vaughn of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Luther Walker, and Lilly Alton Berry Walker, was born on February 4, 1928 in Green County, and departed this life on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 88 years, seven months and seven days of age.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Wednesday until time of the funeral service. The funeral services for Mrs. Emma Eulean Vaughn will be conducted at 10amCT, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Dannie Nelson will officiate.


She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church. She was also retired from the State of Kentucky Highway-Rest Area Department.

She united in marriage to Robert "Drew" Vaughn on September 25, 1963 who preceded her in death in 1995.

Survivors include:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Delores Elmore of Greensburg
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Marsha and Delbert Underwood of Greensburg, and Boneva and K. Patrick Johnson of Lexington
  • Four grandchildren: Rashonda and Marco Mitchell of Greensburg, Leeann Elmore and her fiance, Josh Johnson of Campbellsville, Chase Johnson, and Morgan Johnson both of Lexington
  • Four great-grandchildren: Shyann Mitchell, Kaylie Mitchell, Lilly Mitchell all of Greensburg, and Bryce Cooke of Campbellsville
  • A sister and brother-in-law: Hortense and Bill Skaggs of Campbellsville
  • A host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Vaughn was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: James Lewis Walker, and Lois Hudgins.

Memorials are suggested to the Residence Council at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Chase Johnson, Bryce Cooke, Josh Johnson, Gordon Walker, Marco Mitchell, and Kent Skaggs.

Honorary Pallbearers: The staff of Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
