Vineta Roy, 89, Nancy, KY passed away Friday September 09, 2016 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, Monday September 12, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be Monday September 12, 2016, starting at 12pmCT till time for the service at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the New Pleasant Point Cemetery, HWY 837, Ingle, Kentucky.



Vineta Roy, 89, Nancy, KY (1927-2016)


She was born on Saturday July 16, 1927 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ida Neal (Gosser) Auterson & the late Tilford Frank Auterson. She died Friday, September 9, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 89 years, one month, and 25 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Pleasant Point Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • Four daughters: Brenda Luttrell, wife of Gary, Nancy, KY; Linda Brock, wife of Lindell, Nancy, KY; Kay Ross, wife of Jeff, Somerset, KY; and Jane Tompkins, Nancy, KY

  • One son: David Roy, Somerset, KY

  • Two sisters: Vondell Abrams, Russell Springs, KY; and Bettie Fern Smith, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Clifford husband of Betty, Auterson, Russell Springs, KY Spouse Betty; and Virl Auterson, husband of Margaret, Lexington, KY]

  • Six grandchildren: Amy (Troy) Leaver, Alisa (Tim) Elrod, Jessica (John) Roberts, Fred Alan Roy, Christopher Luttrell, Emily (Kevin) Kruizenga

  • Nine great grandchildren: Zachary, Sarah, Rachel, Emma and Zane Leaver, Savannah, Shelby and Sawyer Elrod and Audrey Claire Krunizenga.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Roy; one sister, Mary (George Alan) Wilson; two sisters in laws, Opal and Clara Auterson; and a son-in-law, Steve Tompkins.
